Well it depends on what you want. If you want to be more then friends with him then go for it.
I can honestly say from experiance that my boyfriend and I were bestfriends for 7 years before we ended up together and now we're both happier then we've ever been and expecting our first child in January.
Of course if your still a teenager i wouldn't recommend the baby part lol.

it's my experience that there is no such thing as being best friends with a guy... it ALWAYS comes to a place where you have to decide if you are going to cross the line. you two are going to have navigate your way through this before you figure out what type of relationship works best for you, but like the other poster said, it will never be the same. that's not a bad thing. i am great friends with guys i did and didn't cross the line with. just try to be mature and respectful toward one another, and it should work out for the best.

it depends if u want to be more than friends .if u do...go 4 it.
if u don't...just tell him not right now and get a boyfriend fast.
also just remember that if u guys do decide that, it wont be the same between u guys. STAY SAFE!!!

If hes ready to take it to the next step, you have to be sure that you want to take it to the next step as well. If you guys both feel that its a good move to make then do it, if not just reevaluate you relationship.

depends if the friendship can withstand a relationship if u can still b friends if the relationship ends than u should try but if not than dont risk being friends
