I think that bi-racial babies are the most beautiful ones because they represent the joining of two different race. They are not chinese or caucasian or black or whatever. They are just beautiful innocent babies.

I have a biracial daughter who is 11 years old. She is beautiful, smart, dramatic. All of the things a girl of 11 is. She is not identified by the fact that she is biracial, she is identified by her personalitiy, which is the way it should be. Race should not be an issue. Her father and I are not together now because of personality reasons, not the public. Do not let public scrutiny make your choice in your partner. Whether or not you should have a child should be based on your love for one another, your financial situation, and your religious beliefs. I deal with public scrutiny everyday. Believe me, I live in the deep south, it cannot get much worse than what I deal with. And actually, it is not that bad. My daughter is well liked in school. She is treated fairly. Because if she wasn't I would be moved to somewhere else quick. My sister adopted a child from Somalia and she is treated well. If God has ordained it, then it will be. P.S. Always capitalize when you write God or the Bible. It shows deference to your faith.

i have a 12 year old bi-racial son. i've gotten the looks and stares and questions since day 1. people have come up to me and asked if he was my stepson or if he was adopted or if i was babysitting. im the whitest white and his dad is the blackest of black. my son takes after his daddy. he doesnt look the slightest bit white. but when we get the looks, it doesnt bother me in the slightest. he is polite, respectful, a straight a student, and truly a good person with a good heart. his color means nothing. people who have a problem with it are just close minded. although i dont agree with a lot of peoples views of having bi-racial children, i am not out to change anyone. as long as my family and i love and accept him, thats all that matters. he has been raised to be proud of who he is. he has the best of both worlds.
just a funny little story:
when my son was about 2 i had him at the playground at our apartments where two girls about 10 years old were playing also. they overheard him calling me mom and the 2 girls came up to me to ask if he was my stepson. i said no, he was my real birth son. but they said he couldnt be because he was so dark. they looked totally confused. one girl replied "well, he must swim a lot." i had no idea where this was coming from. she said " he must be a good swimmer. you can tell that hes in the pool a lot because hes so dark." she thought he had just gotten a real dark tan. i had explained to them that his dad was black, and so he gets his color from his dad. they replied "well thats weird for him to have a white mom and a black dad. thats not right." i thoght it was sad how a cute story turned into something that made me sad. at such a young age they were already having prejudicial thoughts. i couldnt blame the little girls, for they are only taught their parents' ignorance. if more people took the time to teach their children that you judge someone by who they are rather than what they are, the world be such a better place to raise all the precious children.

If you're in a biracial relationship, and have a child that ISN'T biracial, you cheated on your partner, and that's REALLY not right. I don't see anything wrong with children of mixed races, some (like Tiger Woods) really get the looks from it! ;-)

Those who are staring and disapproving are small minded people, who have to put others down to feel better about themselves. Ignore them.

Its Ok by me. U know black is a dominate gene, so one day eventually the entire human population will be a shade of brown. I'm sure that you will all see some "speed bumps" but if you are in a biracial relationship already, then u know what i'm talking about. But you have already made it this far, why turn back now!

The people who disapprove are probably the same people who think racism is bad. It is not wrong to have a biracial baby, in fact, someday we'll all be the same color. Look at what time has done to the European racial features. Most white Americans could be picked out of a crowd anywhere overseas because of their "race". So those people who disapprove are just jerks.

There is nothing wrong with a bi-racial relationship or baby. But I would consider this. Before you have a child, any child you should take into account your surroundings and if you are prepared to help and protect your child.

I have some friends who are mixed black/white and have had strangers (both black and white people) come up to us in public to say something rude. I was so shocked. I had no idea people in the 21st century were such monsters.

I agree with you! Good for you. Who cares what other people think. Whats the difference if your mixing on nationality with another. People just don't complain or stair cause they can't really see a big difference. My husband is from Poland and I am Canadian, people don't stare at my kids. Our society needs to get over things like this. There are a lot worse things to worry about then the color of skin.

It is no ones business but your own who you decide to have a baby with. Those people who stare and disapprove are small minded and bigotted.

Maybe if the world continues to have "biracial babies" eventually there will be only one race, the human race.

Screw what other people think. Yes it is perfectly ok to have a bi-racial child if you are in an inter-racial relationship. I am also in that type of predicament. You should do what makes you happy other people stare because they either have hate in their heart or they wish they would have been bold enough to be like you. Honey love is color blind and it wouldn't matter if ya hooked up with the "purple" people eater. You do only what makes you truly happy and if you are content with your choices then who the hell has the right to judge you? Nobody
