I'm bored... Does anyone know how to make an explosion with things found at home? (Not looking to blow anything up, just want to have some fun)
One thing you can try is spraying oven cleaner on aluminum foil and putting it in a bottle, I heard that one here.

Hi, I heard something about this last week on the TWIS (this week in science) Podcast, this guy named William Gurstelle (see website below) has written a book called "Backyard Ballistics" where he blows stuff up with ordinary materials you can buy in a store. I think it's relatively safe, but just make sure you have parental supervision and be careful not to lose any body parts (disclaimer.)

oven cleaner is slow...try murriatic acid, its used to clean concrete, home depot prolly 2 dollars. put aluminum foil 3 or four rolled up pieces and about2 inches of acid into 2 littler botter, twist cap on tightly,shake for 1 sec, throw it and stand back, its way louder than a shotgun and will blow your hand off, it also puts out a toxic gas you dont want to breath. I put one in a pumpkin we had carved out one time and it obliterated the pumkin.

mix in 3 tablespoons of red Kaine pepper into a bowl with 2 eggs and scramble them up in a hot pan. you then place the eggs between to slices of bread and give it to your dad to eat. Then run like hell because He will explode and come after you. My advice for you would be to clean your room mop the floor and do all your laundry and then go mow the lawn, take out the trash and wash your dads car before doing this.

Take a body spray and burn a paper.
Slowly spray the body spray over the fire.
You won't find any explosion but you could see a nitro-boosters.
If u really need an explosion,
you could burn the spray canister.
(Do it outside)
