How many conservatives really care about America more than their bank account?

I'm sorry, there are a whole lot of conservatives that truly care more for their country than their checkbook, but maybe it would'nt hurt to act like it.

None. When conservatives talking about "caring for America", they are really talking about trying to force everyone in the country to think and act just like they do, which is not what this country is supposed to be about.

This is the party that has voted against raising the minimum wage 10 straight times. They act offended when you suggest that maybe, just maybe, someone who works 40 hours a week ought to not be below the poverty level. In their book, if you are poor, you must be lazy. If you are black, you must be shiftless, and trying to get on welfare. If you are Hispanic, you must have snuck across the border.

This is the party that runs on hate every election cycle. Either we are supposed to hate the gays, or, this year, the Hispanics. They have no record of accomplishment to point to, even though they've controlled the government for years. So instead, they simply spread hate.

How many liberals are old enough to have money to care about besides the people in Hollywood who will say anything to get publicity? And there is old saying That goes If your under thity and not a liberal you have no heart and if you are over thirty and not a conservative you have no brain. (Winston Churchill I believe). Which are you? I'm a conservative and I don't have a lot of money to be given to liberal tax increases and causes that won't help me but do more harm. It's funny that most lib seem to for get that one of the presidents they look up to so much also believed and subscribed to the fact that if you cut taxes it will help to build up the economy. But when Reagan spoke of it the called it voodoo economics and opposed it. If you mcut taxes acrosse dthe board to everyone including corporations and the rich more money is invested in expansion of businesses and more people are hired and that means more people are paying taxes and buying more products and this means more people are needed to make them thusa more people hired more business expands and grows thus more money goes to the government and is available for programs. But when you raise taxes just the opposte occurrs people have less to spend jobs are out sourced to cheaper places and plants close etc and the economy tanks. And don't forget that liberal dems of th 60's opposed the Equal right movement. Maybe you need to study some history before you make foolish statements. So I will remain conservative and you being young will remain liberal for now but when you get older hopefully for your familys' sake you will learn and change too.

I'm sure plenty of them do. The problem is they have a perverted view of what it means to care about America.

They think shoving their religion, racism and general xenophobia down all our throats is caring about America.

They also want to tell everyone what to do with their private lives...but don't go regulating big business to make sure they aren't ripping us off and ruining our environment.

To be sure they are generally very selfish and consumed with their bottom line and seem to think all poor people in America are somehow a threat to it.

They'll spend 1000 times as much on bombs and killing than they ever would to make sure kids get educated or health-care or higher education or public research or just about anything that would benefit society.

They refuse to learn from any source but their preacher and bible and use their ignorance to try to pervert science education and education in general so that everyone will be a stupid as they are.

Oh yeah and they fly those rebel flags with pride...not knowing it is a badge of retardation.

Let me review your question. ok Hollywood actors are mostly liberal and very wealthy, college professors are mostly liberal and wealthy so what do you think they care more about with all their anti American rhetoric and their love of socialism? I am a conservative and I love America with a very modest bank account. Theodore Roosevelt was conservative President and put America first. I really do care about America! Can you understand my point of view or are you simply one sided in your thinking?

I do....and contray to popular opinion, not all conservatives are wealthy. I certainly am not...but I'm working hard and studying so that some day I will be comfortable...and self reliant..it's the American dream..
