nope, i'd work. That's what happens in the work force sometimes. You get screwed but sometimes your bosses just like to see how you handle the situation.
You should be happy that your boss trusts your whiny @$$. If you prove yourself to be able to train 2 new employees in the same day, your boss will continue to bring them to you in hopes that you will make newbies all-star employees. So stop whining and get to work.
If I was your boss, not only would I do this to you two more times, but after the summer rush is over (and after you proved yourself to be able to handle these situations) I'd reward you with a better schedule, a slight raise, and a short talk with how knowledgable of a new employee trainer you are.

No. Training can't be that bad, right? It should be something out of the typical work routine, so go ahead and make it through the day. Instead, take a day off next week and spoil yourself by doing something you enjoy.

I would NOT call off just for the hell of it. This is an important day. If these TWO new people are coming in TOMORROW that are obviously lower on the totem pole than you are, you should be setting an example.
Call off when you actually need it, or when your presence isn't in such high demand.

Taking the job you're in leaves you with the responsibility of doing what you're supposed to, not just whether or not you feel like it. I would be mature and do my job.
Besides, how hard could it possibly be to train people? Sounds pretty simple to me and more interesting than sitting around watching "Jerry Springer" or whatever else it was you were planning to do.

Well, since you are aware that they start tomorrow, then I guess your boss does expect YOU to train them...so start looking in the Classifieds missy!...Why don't you do that on your day off?!

Do you intend to go through life as a passive-aggressive loser? Go in and proudly help these new folks like a grown-up.
