Israel has every right to defend itself. Israel has put up with so much death and destruction since it came into existence.
What most people tend to forget is, the Israelites were on that land Thousands of years before the Arabs arrived. It was taken from them by the Romans, the Arabs, The Egyptians enslaved them and the Israelites were also persecuted by the Crusades.
Then they were almost taken out of existence by Hitler.
They now have their ancestral land back and I don't blame them for trying so hard to keep it.
I am not an Israeli nor am I Jewish...I just know that what was done to those people for Thousands of years, is wrong.
Never in World History, has One people suffered so much for no reason.
I say...more Power to Israel! Take something of theirs and they will go and get it back!

The same right that let us invade Germany and Japan during WWII (Okinawa is a providence of Japan and we still have a Marine base there). Israel is only trying to protect themselves. The official policy of Hezbollah is to drive Israel into the sea. Faced with that then yes they have the right to defend themselves.
Notice that Israel didn't invade Hezbollah controlled territory until AFTER they renewed attacks on Israel. The sanctions that Israel put on Hezbollah controlled Palestinian was just a continuing of International Sanctions imposed by most of the UN. Of course Hezbollah got elected because most Palestinians see it as a social aid organization. Hezbollah has been paying assistance to many Palestinians for a while. Hezbollah wasn’t in control because Yasser Arafat was, and he did not allow anyone else to control the Palestinian Movement. After his death the first free election was held, and surprise, surprise who got elected: the group that has been helping Palestinians make ends meet for years. And the West was surprised by this, please, give me a break! That’s almost as bad as Hezbollah trying to go on with terrorism as usual. The world gave them a chance to reform after they became the government, but they did not. The NBC Nightly News reported today that Hezbollah has taken more Israel soldiers hostage. Since conscription in the Israeli Military is universal, every Israel identifies with these soldiers. If the Israel government doesn’t react, and rescue these people, then their will be calls for a new election to find a government that will.

Of course.
The Hezbollah is a lunatic cult with an approx. $400 million (!) annual operating budget, thanks to the support they receive from Iran and Syria.
Lebanon is conducting a rocket war against northern Israel, which has killed several and wounded hundreds. And they are holding two Israeli soldiers hostage.
Lebanon has another 16,000 (!) missiles pointed at Israeli towns right now,
and they also finance attacks on Jews out of Gaza and Judea/Samaria.
They must be destroyed, same as the Hamas cult based in Gaza.

You bet it does. Remember, Israel use to support a militia that operated there anyway. Those people would be much better off if they lived in freedom rather than under the tyranny of Hezbolla.

YES...defenitely. To protect themselves from those uncivilised, primitive muslim extremists. I only hope Isreal will not be influenced by the UN and goes all the way, to finish the job, to blast them to kingdom come!!!! They are a parasite and disease to this world, they don't contribute in any way or fashion to make this world a better place to live. I'd say nuke the bastards if it wasn't for the radiation.

They're only following the example given by a rather large and boorish country when its leaders felt attacked.
