If you continued taking your birth control pill because you didn't realize you were pregnant, don't be alarmed. Despite years of this accident happening, there's very little evidence that exposure to the hormones in birth control pills causes birth defects.
Still, the birth control pill is a potent estrogen. Lessons learned from women who took diethylstilbestrol — a synthetic estrogen that was later linked with cancer — to prevent miscarriage in early pregnancy suggest that such exposure should be minimized.
Once you learn that you're pregnant, stop taking the birth control pill.

Don't mess around with that stuff. If you are pregnant, Have your Baby. Some types of birth control cause an abortion every month. No wonder when some women do try to become pregnant they cant carry it to term.
Also some women only can get pregnant once.
If you are not pregnant, Don't have Sex and you won't get pregnant.
This is the one form of birth control that works every time.
If you choose to have an abortion it will mess you up for life. It is totally against a woman's nature to kill the baby in her womb.
I know women who are tormented by the fact that they had an abortion decades ago. How do you heal the heartache of your baby dying and how would you feel about yourself if you caused it.
I know I am answering more than was asked, If this doesn't apply to your situation, that's good. Please pass it on to friends who might need it.
It is better for you to have a healthy baby if you are pregnant and either give it up for adoption or raise it yourself.

No and it will not kill the baby. But why would you start birth control if you are already pregnant.. Be carefull about the questions that you ask on this sight and do not ALWAYS believe the answers, even mine. If you have just started birth control and you find a little later that you might be pregnant, you need to consult your doctor. But to my knowledge(which is know way educational, just experience) babies are not harmed by birth control. Please, if you are pregnant get prenatal care. It is for you and your baby.

Don't start birth control when you are pregnent. Being pregnant is the best birth control there is, you can't get pregnent again!

It could, but it most likely hood you will just cause major birth defects or a possible miscarriage later in the pregnancy if you keep taking it. Most doctors will not give you birth control if you are pregnant in the first place. That is why you have to have test done first.

lol No! Birth control does not kill anything. It simply prevents the sperm from fertilizing the egg. It creates a protective barrier around the egg...it will thicken the mucuses.

It could have some effect depending on how far along you are, but I would call a pharmacy or doc office to just ask the question!

no, but you'll have blood spotting anyway and your body would throw it up if it was to strong for the baby. I'm horrible for this but before I knew I was pregnant I took acid and my body knew it was a danger and I threw up-kids fine

I'm not sure. But it probably could cause some major physical and mental problems for an unborn child.
Please tell me you're not trying to abort by taking birth control pills........

no it will not but you have to stop it as soon as u know u r pregnant. and just let your ob/gyn know just in case. I assume you were taking the pills not the shot or that patch or the ring thing either way its not gonna harm ur lil one and good luck to you and ur husband sweety
