I would guess because Logical Positivism requires the assent of the individual, not the collective or hive mentality.

I am not saying I agree with the the tenets of Logical Positivism, certainly the certainty of belief required of Logical Positivists is astounding, and would require one to believe that "resistance is futile".

I am not certain how one would fill the void that exists from all the unanswered or unanswerable questions in the Universe.
