When you ovulate you are generally fertile. However, a person could ovulate and still be sterile if there is another problem preventing pregnancy. For instance, if the ovarian tubes are totally blocked so the sperm can't reach the ovumand the ovum can't reach the uterus.

i think it means u are releasing an egg, but i'm not sure if all eggs are always in working order if u know what i mean.
