I need to make some money (not a lot of money) doing something that won't stress me out too much. I know leading outdoor expeditions is fun but I'm too old and out of shape to do that. People who love kids can always make bad wages teaching or working in day care centers, but I don't care for kids. I also don't like taking care of animals. Are there any other jobs where people accept low pay because the jobs are fun, or at least easy?

Thanks,
Houyhnhnm

I worked at a self-service gas station for a few days several years ago. Management treated us like we were thieves, which stressed me out.

If I'm too old to lead outdoors expeditions, I'm obviously too old to be a hooker.

I rarely see a toll booth without a line in front of it. Maybe on graveyard shift they read and watch TV.

Roadie has some glamour but it's hard, grueling work and long hours, hauling and setting up heavy equipment, then the stress of running the show perfectly when you're physically tired, then tearing down and packing late at night.

When i was in college I worked for a pizza place doing delivery. It was probably the least stressfull job I ever had and was pretty fun. Hell you get to leave work all the time and get paid for it. The money wasn't that bad either.

I'd choose the medical coder. Not because of the pay, but because being a teacher has a lot of drawbacks. You have to deal with parents. You have to deal with childhood illnesses, and usually the first year, the teachers catch everything. Little kids have a lot of energy, so it's an exhausting job. Just my opinion. But, I'd take the boring job, and then find some interests for after work.

don't know what the pay would be, but I always thought a roadie would be a sweet gig... traveling, meeting cool people, being on stage saying "check 1 check check 2 2 2 drum mic 1 testing check check 1."

Hey Ho,

What are your hobbies? Get a job at the place where you do your hobby shopping.

My second job (as a volunteer) is at the Pan African Film Festival. I don't need the money and I love the gig!

I worked at a privately owned bike/ski shop and had a great time. You could also consider working at a casino. :)

Work at a bookstore. I get paid crap, but it is easy and fun. I get a good discount too.
