and what is the meaning of "it sucks"?

AVID (meaning Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college-preparatory program designed to aid economically disadvantaged and underachieving first-generation students of both elementary and high schools into college. AVID was developed in 1980 by Mary Catherine Swanson, who was an English teacher in Clairemont High School at San Diego, California. Ramona High School AVID program of Riverside, California is currently the largest AVID program in the world.

ASB A student organization called the Associated Student Body. A students' union, student government, or student council is a student organization present at many colleges and universities, often with its own building on the campus, dedicated to social and organizational activities of the student body.

"It sucks" is something you don't like.

If you were eating your favorite food and it fell on the floor...well that sucks...
If your car got scratched that would suck.
If you were a kid and made plans with a friend but your mother said you can't go, that sucks.
The world doesn't all get along, it really sucks.
