u know what im a 15 yr old girl in my high school band guess what i play the TUBA yay go me i love it its fun i started on trumpet then baritone now tuba r chair leader was a girl she was great there was only 1 guy so but this comin up yr ill be the only girl but idc

Nope, of course not. I played the cello in school. I loved it and personally didn't care what anyone else thought and either should you.

Not at all. It would probably take some getting used to, but I see no reason why female tubists would take flack just for that.

Hell, no! I know one that does. She had to start on trombone, of course, but she's played a lot of instruments, and she's very talented.
