What is the max and min sentence for being caught with illegal stay in canada? (expired visa etc)?

You get a jail sentence as my exboyfriend is in jail right now... he was caught with illegal stay and he is serving his sentence then being deported.

Probably just kick you out of the country. Unlikely to be given a sentence as that would cost more for poor Canadian taxpayers.

Other than being arrested for terrorism, I don't know.
