Beer and other alcoholic drinks

OK everybody. Do you dig this or diss this?
Please put why.
Also Im going to do 3 'dig it or diss it' things a day so look forward to what I'll put each day!!!

I am going to say dig because I often drink alcohol (Guinness) and don`t have any problems with it. I know alcohol causes all sorts of bad problems, but you can`t blame that on the alcohol because if it was the alcohol then I should get nasty and violent when I drink it and I don`t. So really it is the person that should be blamed not the drink. I believe that alcohol usually makes your opinions and characteristics stronger. So if like me you are peacefull and pacifist then it would make that come out of you more. But if you were violent to begin with it would probably make that exaggerated, so if you are a violent aggressive person, probably best not to drink too much. The drink alone can not be blamed though and I think a lot of nasty people may just be using it as some sort of excuse for doing bad things.

I use to Dig It but now I Diss It.
I was an alcoholic but quit March 2,2000.I do not touch it now.Can't even stand the smell of anything with alcohol in it.

Dig it I enjoy having a couple beer or mixed drinks when out socializing with friends but it can be Diss if you take it too far and just drink to get drunk.

Beer: Dig it! (In moderation of course) I also assume when you're reffering to beer you're NOT referring to any of the carbonated water that is mass produced by American breweries like Bud, Coors et al. that they try and pass off as beer. If that's your definition of beer then I DEFINITELY diss it. That's not to say there aren't any good beers produced by American breweries, I just don't like the mass produced ones.
Why do I dig it? Because there are soooo many different varities of it with distinctly different tastes and aromas. I'm unsure whether you "dig or diss" beer yourself but I'll take a well made heffeweissen for example. The initial taste is slightly sweet with a very light hoppy biterness to it and an after taste that's like you just put a piece of freshly baked bread in your mouth. You've heard of the wine fans out there "cheer" about all the varied varietals and flavors of wine haven't you? Fact of the matter is there are 10 times the variety of beers than there are of wines. I suggest that if your experience with beer has been limited that you do a little research on it. I think that you might just take another look at "plain old beer"!

Other alcoholic drinks: I'm going to assume that you're talking about hard liquor which makes this a tough decision because there's some hard alcohol I love and some I despise.
On the dig side I love good smooth anejo tequila like Tres Generationnes to sip and shoot but I prefer my margaritas mixed with a repesado like Cuervo 1800 and splashed with triple sec or Grand Marnier. I love a well made vodka straight up on the rocks like Grey Goose or Kettle one but prefer my mixed drinks that use vodka with Absolute. Why?The nice smooth taste and that warm fuzzy feeling you get inside after imbibing these wonderful spirits!
On the diss side, I don't like ANY gins (Gin tastes like turpentine to me or at best pine sap) or whiskys. (can't even begin to describe how rancid it tastes to me.) Jack Daniels especially. I only choke that back if my sole purpose of drinkng is to get drunk and get into a bar room brawl. Something about that stuff makes me mean. Robin Williams once said about Jack Daniels:
"If alcohol is the crutch then Jack Daniels is the wheel chair."

I could go on but I think I've covered my major "digs and disses" on the subject so in the words of Forrest Gump " That's all I got to say about that...."

Diss beer. Nastiest thing on the planet along with all of its other malt beverages. Gotta dig vodka, though. Straight out of the freezer.

- Diss. I don't see the point. I don't drink but from what I've heard from my lush friends is that some drinks taste like soda such as Sprite. Why not drink an actual Sprite? It doesn't have the bitter aftertaste.

It's bad for the body and doesn't do anything good for the society. The world can totally go without it.

Diss it! There are other ways to enjoy yourself and be the life of the party without poisoning your body! Drugs of any kind are too dangerous! You are putting yourself and others at risk!
