Of course it is. Not only is it healthy, but it is cheaper than paying for treated city water to water your plants.

Spring water is just fine because it does not have all the chemicals in it as tap water does. Tap water can cause tip burn with house plants because after a period of time the chemicals as well as fertilizers build up in the soil when plants are contained in pots. That is why it's best when watering container plants to let the water run completely through the soil to flush out all that mess. Even if you use spring water it would still be a good idea to flush water through the soil to rid of any old built up fertilisers once a month or so.

If you want to waste your money - why not

lets see - bottled water $0.50 - $1.50 per gallon

tap water $0.75 to $3.00 per 1000 gallons
