Once upon a time, there was a person named Pelicanjed. Pelicanjed had stayed up on yahoo!Answers so long, that he had began to get very, very sleepy. So, Pelicanjed decided to ask just one more question before tucking himself into bed. He asked all of the people, from all over the world, who were on the site to write him an interesting story, so that he could read it when he got up in the morning. Then, a woman named MJ stumbled upon his question and decided to give it a shot. She was hoping to get 10 points for responding to his question. If Pelicanjed would give her the points, then MJ would be able to feed her addiction to the Yahoo!Answers site. THE END.

Here's an excerpt from a play I'm writing. I hope you like it. Please don't try to steal it and pass it off as your own. That would hurt my feelings.
(Thomas and Pete are having a picnic under a nicebigshady tree. Pete is eating very enthusiastically, but Thomas is intensely scrutinizing a lemon.)
Thomas: Pete, do you know anything about horticulture?
Pete: (Looks up and gives Thomas a long stare) No. (Continues eating.)
Thomas: I don’t care for lemons that much. Not at all really. You could almost say I hate them. Does that seem too harsh? Maybe I don’t hate them. But I don’t like them. I despise them. Yes, that’s good. Or loathe. I loathe lemons. Hmm… alliteration. Abhor. Detest. You know, there really aren’t enough synonyms for-
Pete: Thomas.
Thomas: What?
Pete: Shut up.
(Pause)
Thomas: What about genetics?
Pete: What?
Thomas: Do you know anything about gen-
Pete: Thomas! Just eat!
Thomas: But I don’t like lemons.
Pete: Then eat something else, Thomas. Just put something in your mouth.
Thomas: (pouting) I thought we were friends.
Pete: We are friends.
Thomas: Then why aren’t you ever interested in anything I have to say?
Pete: Fine. Why don’t you like lemons, Thomas?
Thomas: (pleased) Because they’re yellow.
Pete: Fabulous. Now have something to eat. It’s a picnic. You’re supposed to eat at picnics.
Thomas: Oh, ok. Do we have any pineapple?
Pete: Er… You do know pineapple is yellow, right?
Thomas: So?
Pete: So, I thought you didn’t like yellow.
Thomas: Did I say that? I said I don’t like lemons. I think you must be confused.
Pete: (aside, but Thomas hears him anyway) You can say that again.
Thomas: I think you must be confused.
Pete: I heard you the first time.
Thomas: But you said-
Pete: Forget it! It’s just a figure of speech! You’re supposed to be the poet.
Thomas: Oh… What does it mean?
Pete: What?
Thomas: The figure of speech. What does it mean?
Pete: It means eat your bloody banana! Or don’t you like those either?
Thomas: Why wouldn’t I like bananas?
Pete: Because they’re yellow.
Thomas: So?
Pete: Well, I thought you said you didn’t like lemons because they’re yellow.
Thomas: What does that have to do with whether or not I like bananas?
Pete: You know what? Just forget it. Forget all about it and eat your fruit.
(They sit quietly eating for a moment or two, then…)
Thomas: Pete?
Pete: (wearily) What?
Thomas: Do you know anything about genetics?
Pete: Please, Thomas, can’t we have just one meal where we don’t have to talk about your crazy plans?
Thomas: This doesn’t have anything to do with Lady Sarah.
Pete: Oh, yeah?
Thomas: It has to do with lemons.
Pete: Wonderful.
Thomas: You see, I don’t like lemons because they’re yellow. Other than that, I like them just fine. So what if lemons weren’t yellow? It would solve all my problems! (Pete chuckles quietly) Naturally, the easiest way to have non-yellow lemons is to breed them so they grow without skins, and to do that, I need to know some genetics. So I ask you again: Do you know anything about genetics?
Pete: I know that it’s easier to grow lemons whose skins aren’t yellow than to grow them without skins at all.
Thomas looks hard at Pete for a moment
Thomas: (quietly) You just don’t get it, do you?
Blackout
Hope you liked it. If you really liked it, I could send the entire play to you when it's finished. But don't expect anything too soon...
