Hey ive lived in Mexico since i was 10 and im goin into 9th grade in Tennessee this year, i have no idea what clothes and stuff are in, and whats important in highschool, esp what to wear the first day, what to do and what not to do, etc..any advice? thanks...

The first day of highschool... It's going to be you and a bunch of other nerve recks ><
The niners tend to stick together, it's when they get older, that SOME of them turn in to one of those "what's in" kind of people.
But grade nine... trust me, people won't really care what you're whearing the first day because they will be too busy worrying about what they're whearing XD

Just wear whatever you think looks "nice" (usually some nice new jeans and a t-shirt) and make a good impression. Be friendly and start making friends right away. If you go in there on the first day and just introduce yourself to everyone you can, people will remember you better. It makes you look much more friendly and people will want to talk back. I'm sure there's tons of other new kids that are worried about the first day too. You might just click with them! High school can be rough, but just stick it out and don't let anyone change you. Don't worry about "in" clothes or anything, just wear whatever you think is comfortable and appropriate.

Jeans and t-shirts seem to be the standard uniform at all highschools in the U S A. My daughter graduated this year and I have spent the last four years sitting outside the school waiting for her. Nice jeans, wait to see what the fashion is, where to put the wholes or patches. Nice knit top or shirt not to tight. Sneakers are in usually Nike K Swiss you know name brands converse high tops were in at our school. If you play it down on the first few days of school you can see what others are wearing. My daughter dressed Gothe and there were lots of kids that dressed that way. Good luck and study hard.

You should wear what you think is in style just don't copy off of what everyone else is wearing you could get an idea of what their wearing my best friend goes by this saying " I am my own person " so she dresses comfortably but not to look like she doesn't care and puts on anything.
P.S Good Luck !!! and I mean it High School can get a little rough and it is so much drama trust me I'm in the 11th grade and I've been their. So here's a tip just stay out of trouble and don't get mixed up in any of the drama their and try and get in any curricular activity it looks good on your application.

Go to your local store (JC Penny's or Goody's, ect) pick out what the manican is wearing, that's usually a good bet. Unless you think it's ugly, then trust your gut and go with what you like and are comfortable in.

WEAR TIGHT DESTROYED JEANS WITH A CUTE FITTING POLO AND BIG SUNGLASSES WITH PEARLS. HAVE YOUR HAIR IN A HALF PONYTAIL WITH A BOW THAT MATCHES YOUR POLO. AND MAKE YOUR HAIR STRAIGHT. DONT WEAR TO MUCH MAKE UP. JUST EYELINER AND MASCARA IS NICE. AND COVER UP IF NEEDED. THIS WILL MAKE EVERYONE LOVE YOU. TRUST ME. IM THE BIGGEST PREP. I KNOW THESE THINGS. GO PREPS. BOO GOTHS.

Theres no 'in' just be yourself..wear what you want. Do whatever you feel you want to do. , ;)... listen to the teacher dont follow 'the cool kids' Hah. Just the normal advice.

mexicana huh? u should get some baby phat and rocawear, urban clothing. cuz all brown ppl including indians like me dress urban. so get some applebottoms,baby phat,rocawear, and southpole. gotta keep it gangsta mami
