Yes I saw it. I kind of made me want to gouge my eyes out.

The special effects were ok. I had no idea what a tornado was and I had just moved to Georgia. Also I was not terriblely familiar with Helen Hunt at the time and she resembled Jodie Foster through out the movie.

I thought it was a great movie. Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton are great. I loved the whole thrill of the movie. Your heart starts pounding, you start to scoot to the edge of your seat...and hold on!! Special effects made it very real. I witnessed the sounds and effects of a real tornado and they pretty much hit the nail on the head!!

The special effects were fantastic! Unparalleled and realistic! Good job to everyone involved! I've always wondered what it was going to be like to be in the middle of a tornado now I know!

I loved it. I grew up with a whole family of firefighters and storm chasers so that kind of stuff is something that i can really get into. Plus I live in Alabama so we get alot of bad weather sometimes resulting in tornados. As a matter of a fact just a few months ago we watched one go right over our house and touch down just about a mile away.

One of the dumbest movies ever made -- from the flying cow (which people neglected to mention probably landed and shattered all of its legs) to the evil meterologist (complete with black minivans) to the plot device of the poor little college girl-fiance over-her-head compared to wily Helen Hunt, to the "fact" that twisters could fling 16-wheelers like papier mache, but all you needed to see inside a twister was a pipe and a good strong belt.....GAHHH! Just a classic example of summer tripe dished up hot for a mindless, slack-jawed American audience....phbtt!
(So in short, I didn't think much of it)

Are you joking bout the special effects? Some were good and others looked like a carboard tornado moving behind them!!!!
But, living in tornado alley, they love that movie here!!!!!

i think it depicted the real life of people. in real life people have a lot of bad memories and a lot of old relations. they just need to get over these skeletons in the closets.Helen hunts bad memory of past and bill's coldness with his wife depicts these two. they both had to forget the past and move on. then life turned in a different way and they fought against it. here the challenges of life is shown through the twister.both the protagonist had to fight life and at the end they won. as a reward, they found the love of their life. its about life's challenges and overcoming them.

Gives new meaning to the word, "Flying Cow." The star of the movie however, was the tornado itself.
