Most rabbits should not have a full bowl of food everyday to just eat constantly. There are many sites online, and books, saying how much you should feed per pound of rabbit. The best diet is also a basic pellet diet, not one with seeds and corn (although do not make transitions quickly, it can seriously harm the rabbit). This basic diet should be supplemented with a few fresh veggies and the rabbit should always have hay availible. Timothy is better than Alfalfa for rabbits.

if your rabbit eats too much, then just give it the amount that you want to eat and let it eat all until none is left... then dont refill the bowl... i realized that when rabbits get bored, then tend to eat a lot... so maybe let your rabbit out and let it play instead of caging it to let it get fatter and fatter... you should also feed rabbits at regular time intervals so that they can get used to it...

If your rabbit is too fat he might have health problems later in life so i would suggest controlling or limiting his intake.

Well, without knowing how big your rabbit is, and what you're feeding him, we can't tell what "too much" food is and we can't really answer your question.

Best wishes and God bless.

well i guess you would call it normal because if you keep refilling his bowl.to stop him eating so much try giving him a regular amount of food you give him but dont refill it after its gone.

Why aren't you limiting what you feed him? Go to this website to check out the appropriate amount you should be giving him. http://www.rabbit.org
