yes in the 60's - but my bellbottom jeans were so long no one noticed so I got away with it. (and yes, bellbottoms were around in the 60's, even though people say it was a 70's thing, I wore them from 67 on.) the tile floors felt fabulously cool, and I would go barefoot to only certain classes. there was no written rule about shoes being a necessity, but we knew it was something they frowned upon. i still go barefoot whenever possible, but wear shoes in public. (they are kicked off when I am sitting at my desk, as no one can see under it). guess I still have a bit of rebellion hidden in my toes.

All The time, kick my shoes off during class or walk around campas barefoot....I once had an old man ask me to step on chocolate cupcakes and smoosh them with my feet and feed them to him. I nearly called security. That was a long time ago.

Yeah, running around during rehearsal for plays and when I was in the band room I would never bother with my shoes, and of course at those wonderful middle school dances that I'd wear those so-tall-I-got-a-nosebleed heels to and then not be able to dance in.

Absolutely!!!!! i went barefooted when i was in school all the time... never got in trouble for it either..

yes. but in basketball. we had to cause we lost a game and we had to run 2miles barefoot in the gym

it depends on rather or not footies count? it was like being barefoot cause i didnt exactly have on shoes... so why do you ask? LOL
