I found that in the past 7 years of my life has been very interesting and I want to write it out. Something for me to do as a hobbie to occupy my time in a good way. I wanted to know, I know I need to take a quick english class refresher for this maybe. When writing I am the narrator, correct? How do I write in the proper manner when a coversation is in progress from person to person . Where does this markes go (" ") go? That is my biggest challedge writing it correctly. This will not be published or anything just for me ( i think..) Are there websites for starters , maybe and how to write correctly. I should have paid more attention in class.

The story and interesting characters are the most important thing. You can get a basic grammar book to help you out. Ask someone you know who is good in English to proofread it for you. When you're ready to get it published, an editor can take care of minor grammatical errors.

If you write in the first person, e.g. I went to the store, you are the narrator. Quotes are pretty easy - look at any book for examples.

He said, "I'm going to the store."

"I'm too busy now. When I have time, I'll go to the store," she said.

Go to this website, and click on the link "for writers".

Besides a writers software (free), he has some excellent articles, plus a bunch of links to other good articles.

Beyond that ... just write .. don't worry too much about form to start, just get the content down ... then go back and edit and start putting it into form.

Go for it!!

write a story out line then a chapter out line then take some classes so that you can learn how to write it .the hardest part will be the first page and the last pages you write. also invest in a writers market guide.
