there are lots of hard things involved in being a mother. ptting your child to sleep in their crib for the first time, knowing that they may have a less than perfect life, knowing tha you cant be there every second of everyday to protect them from danger. then of course there are the other things. no sleep, a messy house most of the time, constant launndry diapers and dishes. midnight feedings and the whole nine yards and the hardest thing of all, knowing that one day they will leave you and go onto their own life.

It's different for everyone. For me it is learning that my children are growing up and that I need to start letting go. It's hard for me...I want to help them, tell them what to do...mother knows best. But they are people...individuals. They are not going to think, act or feel the same as me. They are not going to like all of the same things. But I have to find peace in knowing I have done my job, taught them and loved them the best I knew how and hope that carries over and they make the decisions that are right for them in their life. But no matter what...whenever the need me...no matter what for...I will always be here. Take care and I hope you have an amazing evening!

Such a complex question! Yes, you put yourself last. You worry, see them make mistakes small and large, you worry about them every day - everything from earaches to hearing about an accident and wondering if your child or their friends were injured. And you don't receive any thank you for this job for many years if ever. If you were to ask about the rewards of being a mother, those are great, too.

Knowing from the very beginning that this is an individual person who is not an extension of you. That's hard. That everything you do or don't do will somehow have an impact. That's hard. You give unconditional love just because they exist. That's sometimes hard. That from the moment they're born you're getting them prepared to leave you as responsible and respectful people. That's hard.

The hardest thing for me was putting my life on the back burner while I raised my child. Also when your child is hurt or is hurting for example from a bully at school you hurt too.

When I see other kids or people being mean or rude to my kid. I am fine with the whole putting myself last, ect, but someone threatening my kids happiness?? That tears me apart.
