Doesnt sound like a normal period. Water is actually suppose to suppress bleeding while on your period. Sounds like a hemmorage of some sort. You should see your doctor or go to the hospital if it doesnt stop.

I never take baths on my period. The thought of bleeding into my bathwater sounds really gross to me. I have noticed though that when I'm finished with my shower and I sit on the toilet quickly after drying myself (I'm afraid of dripping blood on the tiles and possible the bath rug) that the toilet water will be all bloody (more than normal) when I get up like I just had a sudden rush of blood. Dunno, always thought that was normal.

Also, I always have the occasionally blood clot (I means a bloody gooey blob) on my pads when I change them. This is fairly normally as blood clots when not in the bloodstreams (although in rare cases it does- this is what cause strokes when there is a clot in the brain), so it stands to reason that some blood will exit the body as a clot.

I've been getting clots my whole life I thought it was normal. I've heard some women tend to think that there's something wrong when this happens. You're fine. But to really feel better, just call your gyny if you have one and ask to talk to the nurse about it. She'll reassure you.
