Because Yahoo offered meaningless points to people who are so habitual that even when we have no real reason to be on line we will find things to do that make us feel productive. It is a sick thing that was done in creating the Internet...thank you Al Gore. If he truly invented the Internet then we must all be alert to the mind altering scheme he has concocted.
We must admit, that we are a competitive lot of folks and can be enticed to spend hours at a time building levels like an braniac video game...the more points we accumulate the more we like it...(I think an evil laugh goes here).
Have you ever looked at the stats...there are several people at level 7 or higher that have more points that I have minutes in a year. The must be really smart to be able to answer all those questions. LOL

Because many people do like the other opinions and answers of others. It gives us a chance to know how people think and feel about issues. Some just like personal input, not a web page that doesn't talk back or answer a question. So, if it's so stupid, why are you in here?

Because google doesn't give you the direct answers that you might want, and dont people (and you, too) want their questions to be answered personally, with thought to their question, and by real people to maybe went thorugh the same experience? How about questions in philosophy? And, great point up there, why didn't you ask this question in google?

You're in the right section. Society and Culture (especially Religion and Spirituality) are full of debates, not hard answers to questions. Anyone can look up how many teaspoons are in a tablespoon on google, but google can't blast you for believing superstitious nonsense and try to get you to question your faith.

Well some people are google illiterate. Litterally. I helped friends in college google stuff all the time. Now they have a place they can ask so others google for them.
BTW - Why did you do this???

Why believe everything one thing says. People would rather hear a variety of answers than to just depend on one. Say for example you really want to see this movie, you think it looks really good. But yet another person says that it's dumb because only immature people watch those movies. Are you now not going to watch the movie?? Or are you going to see it anyway...Most likely your going to see it anyway to form your own opinion about it.. So my point is why believe only one point of view instead of trying to find other sources.

Becoz, they do not want to go through tons and tons of information
and filter them/ find in them a right answer.
Its very difficult. There is abundant information out there. One
really can not know if it's right or wrong. or misleading.
If a human gives a direct answer to a question that would save
a lot of time for the guy/gal who is asking a question.
Did it make any sense...

very good question...aside from polls, surveys, jokes, and opininonated questions, i don't see why they can't. I'm sure 9 times out of 10 people search in google or a search engine to find the answer anyway. yeah i'll ponder about this for a bit. check ya later ♥
