You know that little indestructible black box that is used on planes, why can't they make the whole plane out of the same substance?

Well, if it was made of the same material, flying would not be so exciting. I like to know that if I get on a plane I might not walk off of it. There is some sort of thrill to fly on a plane that might disintegrate if.....

gravity .... people who were strapped into a "black box" plane would be totally un damaged in crash other than the compression of the sudden stop which would still kill them anyway. g-forces dont act the same on electronic equipment

I don't think the plane could fly...too heavy.

Because it would be too heavy for the airplane to actually fly (and too costly for most companies to afford!)

better yet why don't they put parachutes all over the plane, I know your laughing but think about it, it could work.
