I know you're asking for only one, but mine was a combo--the assassinations of JFK, Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy. The last assassination was a huge moment for me; it's when I gave up all hope. I remember feeling very old (though I was very young).

I would have to say that 9/11 was the biggest. It seemed like the whole country shut down. I was at work when it happened. The store emptied out as far as customers, nobody wanted to work, and the company didn't even care at that point.

911 it made the reality of war and destrucion real in my life i was scared for every ones safety even to this day it makes me paranoid of people on a large scale i know it happens all over the world but when it happened 18 miles from my door step way to real for me i pray one day we will never have to effect innocent lives and if they want to kill each other it can be done in a controlled state where only war mongers are affected not Innocent people of any race color religion every time a innocent person is killed a piece of me dyes and wants to egnor anything outside of my little cirrcle its such a shame my fammily had to live in this time in spase and not when we learened to love ourselves each other and this beautifull blue marrble

the day I got married. Worst mistake I ever made....not the marriage, but who I married. Wiped my spirit out, siped out a snese of well-being, creativity, self- esteem, and financially, she ruined us.
Best present she ever gave me? A divorce 20 years later. Two years into the divorce, she told me losing me was the WORST mistake she ever made. I concurred totally.
Haven;t spoken a word to her in more than 15 years. Wonderful!

It's between JFK's assassination in 1963, and our men landing on the moon in 1969.
Was too young to understand either one until later in life.
