It's hard to pick just one.
It seems like everyone is pinching in and doing whatever it take to win.
Brandon Inge leads the team with 17 homeruns.
Mags leads the team with 62 RBI
Kenny Rodgers is 11-3
Justin Verlander is 10-4
Not huge numbers....but it doesnt matter....what really matters is that they are playing as a TEAM and they are winning (and will continue to do so--THEY WILL NOT FALL APART IN THE 2ND HALF!!!)
But the best guy in a Tiger uniform?
Jim Leyland.

A number of good players. Ordenez being back to his old self. Some youngsters like Shelton and Verlander. I have to say Pudge though. His first day on the field was the start of the turn around for the Tigers. I have to say he is the spirit of the team and without him they'd collapse instantly at this point. Think about the impact he had season before last when there was no talent on the team. Now that the Tigers have something to work with he is a major inspiration for them.

well in the begining of the season it was Shelton. He was on fire with his homeruns but has now since cooled. right now i don't really think there is a guy that really stands out as being the "best player". When they need it one will step up and make things happen. Their pitching is amazing and they know how to save the game when they know they have it wrapped up and not blow it.
My favorite player this year is Magglio Ordonez. I'm not sure exactally why but something about that guy. and to quote my brother "i want an Ordonez jersey just so i can get that squiggly thing over the n on a shirt"

My Favorite: Chris Shelton. I know his numbers have slipped a lot since the end of April, but he ignited the Tigers spirits and they have not given up yet.
Best: Jeremy Bonderman. The rest of the rotation is steller too, but Bonderman has K/BB ratio is almost a 4.00, and his GO/FO (Ground Outs/Fly Outs) ratio is nearly a 2.00 (2 Ground Outs/ 1 Fly Out). Combine those numbers with his WHIP (1.14) and even if a runner gets on base, good luck. His ERA is a 3.46 only because of Cleveland and Cincinnati...In his 2 worst starts, he gave up 14 earned runs (of his season total 46) in just 6.7 innings...And finally, talk about an inning eater, in 18 starts this season, Bonderman has pitched at least 7 innings in 11 starts, and made it through 6 innings in 15 of his starts! Pretty Impressive

Well...this is a tough one.
Probably Magglio Ordonez has been the best player, but it's not by a lot.
Guillen, Verlander, Zumaya, Granderson, and Shelton can all put in claims to that title as well.

NL gamers frequently do not do nicely their first year even as they transition to AL. Dontrelle Willis is going to war somewhat his first year, likely a 14-12 season for him. Cabrera ought to help out the offense extremely, porbably about 27 living house runs. notwithstanding, the Yankees are purely a huge question mark, they have not made any strikes thus far, and they have not superior on any of their factors.

Well Ivans my favorite but i think that this year its Ordonez cause hes helped the team a little more with his big bat in tight spots and hes been hot on defense with quiet a few outfield assists

I have to say Kenny Rogers or Justin Verlander. But Rogers has historically had bad second half seasons.

No one is really having a stand out amazing year, but if you had to give it to one, probably Magglio Ordonez. Unlike a pitcher, he plays everyday.
