Most of the old wives tales and at least two chinese gender calenders indicated that I would have a girl, but I had a dream that I had a boy, and what do you know, I was right! Whatever you have, I am sure it will be perfect for you.

Old wives tales are just that - old wives tales. My mother in law told me that I was to have a boy. When I was in the hospital, I had a little girl. I was very disappointed. So I don't think you should believe it.

If you really want to know the sex of your child, ask the doctor when he examines you and does a sonogram. He's pretty accurate and then you will know.

I did a bunch of the old wives tales when I was pregnant. About 98% or so of them said I was having a girl...including the chinese gender chart. And they were right! I had a girl!

I did the necklace test,( with the ring and you rub it over your wrist), and it said I was having a boy with my first, which I did, but it said a girl for my second, which he wasn't! I would say follow your hunches, if it's too early to tell with an ultrasound, and definitley pay attention to your dreams. Even with the thought of a girl pounded into my head with my second, I had a clear dream that he was a boy, and he was. Other than that, keep your fingers crossed to be able to tell with your ultrasound! Good luck =)
