first you will need to connect a player to your pc. i did this awlie back. the only way i know to do this is by connecting your cassette deck to your audio in jack on your pc. after that have a software program that will record analog audio and there you have it. there are several different recorders you can use but once you have it on your pc you can use programs like nero to convert to mp3 or cd audio and burn them to cd. good luck.

you need an audio out from the deck...an input into the soundcard...and an app to record it. better hardware gives better results and adobe audition is a good app to record with and lets you save to wave(cd) or mp3 or a few other formats. some soundcards also come with their own nifty little recording software ...my audigy does but you'll need to supply the codecs for whatever sound you want unless its just wav.
