The tech. will give an approximate time of conception, determined by the size of baby and formation of baby, but it will not be accurate. If the tech. gives you an exact due date then all you have to do is the math and count to the day of conception...;)

It should help with this, as you can count back the days. What they will do (because they did this for me because they didn't believe me when I said I knew the date of conception) is measure the baby and then they will know how many weeks and days along you are. When they did mine and you counted back the days and weeks, I was dead on for the date of conception (showed them huh? lol). I don't know if it's perfect, but it'll get you real close.

It should. The ultrasound usually includes measurements to determine fetal age. If you count backwards, you get the conception date!

it goes hand in hand. As accurately as they can calculate your due date they can then work back to conception more or less. They will get more accurate with a second ultrasound to compare back to I believe. I also am pretty sure if your are not that far along their calculations become more accurate.

Yes. Otherwise they wouldn't know the due date. It won't be to the day but they'll have a pretty good idea of the week.

The US tech will give you an approximate date of conception, but not an exact one.
