DO NOT DOWNLOAD SPY KILLERS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT!!!
Try reverting back to a previous save. Make sure you print this off or write it down because you need to close all programs and windows.
If you have XP go to start > all programs > accessories > systems tools > system restore. A window will come up and select the 'Restore my computer to an earlier time' option and click next. Hopefully this feature is on. Select a bold date before you started having trouble. Then click next all the way through to the end. Your computer will restart and hopefully, restore your settings.
Good luck.
P.S. Do not click on links from emails or download files from emails. Even from your friends. They may not know they have a virus.

Well, i dont think that is VIRUS.. it may be ADWARE or a SPYWARE.
Dont ever USE SYSTEM RESTORE. As it restores your previous data, Your parents will really kill you if they find that you used System RESTORE and the installed softwares aren't there now.
What you can do is real simple. Restart your computer .. Then before windows BOOT SCREEN somes, keep pressing F8. Then in the menu select SAFEMODE. After Xp starts, it will be kind of all BIG and all, Because no Programs will start in XP (i mean automatic programs like VIRUSES or etc..)
Now go to that Path, and delete that file and restart your PC. and there you go ITZ DONE !

Any computer can get a virus, no matter how well protected or how well versed in computers a person is. If your parents flip because the PC has a virus then there must be more to this story.
And just because you have an error message doesn't mean that you have a virus, it could simply be a bad sector on your hardrive.

Why would your parents be mad because something was wrong with your computer?
Right click on that file, and click "Properties". Make a not of the "last modified on" date. You can then do a system restore to before that date by going to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools - System Restore
[This is for a Windows XP Pro system, on others it should be similar]

1st -- is your computer working correctly?
If yes, you may just be seeing an alert from your firewall or AV software, but don't have a virus. Virus checkers and firewalls can and do identify strings which are not viruses.
2nd -- have you tried a "disk revert" to before the event?
3rd -- next time you see the message, write down all the details, then search Norton AV site for it.
4th -- let us know how what you find.

Try to undo your computer into an earlier day, before the day your computer probably got the virus. Go on start, help and support then press "undo system to an earlier time with system restore. Then you can chose to restore your computer to eraze the memory from the number of days you undo.
hope that helps. =]

You are missing a DLL file, but I cannot find what this DLL file belongs to. Try running an online virus check at:
http://www.pcpitstop.com/freescan/
To see if it can find anything. If this does not work, you may have to boot from the windows disk, and run a repair session.
