It could have been better. The problem is that it's not a showcase game anymore. I thought it was suppose to be a fun event. Now with the game determining the home field advantage in the World Series it really has taken the fun out of the game. It's a stupid rule and should be overturned. The team with the best overall record in regular season play should get home field advantage in the World Series................Period!!!

This years game was plenty exciting, I am sick of the high scoring games, it is about time both leagues pitchers settled opposing hitters down...If ANYTHING made it more interesting, it would be 2 things: Get Tim McCarver out of broadcasting, he is one of the MOST annoying announcers EVER and 2nd, if Ryan Howard would have hit a walk-off HR off Mariano Rivera. How fitting would it have been for the HR Derby champ to homer off one of the ALs best pitchers? That is one home run I would not mind watching!

What is not exciting about a one-run game that was won on a 2 RBI triple in the 9th off of one of the greatest closers of all-time? Just because there werent 10 homers doesnt mean its not exciting for true fans of the game. If you want homers watch the derby. This was a good all-star game.

close games are always exciting.. they dont need to finish 25-19 to be exciting although that would have been quite a show. Appriciate the all-stars for thier talent! It should have been a close game dominated by pitching.. we all picked the "best.."

I thought it was a well played game!

Baseball is my favorite sport but yeah. I kind of fell asleep in the second inning and LITERALLY woke up in the 9th JUST as the AL took the lead!!! :-)

Gotta love the AL!

BUt yes. It could have been more exciting!

I actually dozed off for a whole inning, woke up and felt like I didn't miss a thing. So, yeah, the middle part was boring, but the beginning and the end were great.
And . . .Did you see my A-Rod at 3rd base? Gorgeous!

The fans were even bored. It was very obvious on TV. All I have to say is that Joe Mauer is the man to watch. Dare I say the best hitter of all time. Wait and see for yourself.
I called it... 7.13.06.

Yes...the NL could have tied it in the ninth, then the Al would win it in extra innings, with Mark Redman getting the victory....
