I think the question you should be asking yourself is...do I feel lonely when I am with this person? If so then you need to think about looking for ways to change that or end it.
Personally, when my boyfriend is working long hours or is out with his friends I make sure to surround myself with friends. I always keep busy so I don't feel lonely. I also love to go to an amazing music service at a particular church on Thursdays. It's a great way to unwind and focus on what's really important rather than wallowing in loneliness. Great quality friends make all the difference though.

In a real relationship there is no loneliness, if it is distance or time it is longliness. Worth the wait or just a waste, you actually know the answer already don't you? Looking for justification?

If you're married or you're committed to the relationship you find things to do to keep you busy. Take a class, decorate the house, learn a language, etc. If you're not married or not committed think about taking a break.

You have to talk to your partner. HAVE to ... Tell them how you feel and try very hard to let them know that you are not blaming them or being angry about it.
Tell them how much you miss them and ask them to help with the solution.
If that doesn't work, then you need to get involved in your community, join a book club, volunteer to work with kids or seniors ... You'll be so busy, you won't have time to be lonely

Write poetry, some times a story. I always dream, regardless. But maybe the occassional feeling of lonliness determines what I dream. I don't know.
