Is thank you a bad word for a close friend? Have a girl friend and i thank her for whatever she did if it's worth it. But she evidently hates it.
Is it really bad?

Girls need to be mental to hate the words 'thank you'. It's very polite and girls usually like it when men are polite (since most of them are never polite >.<)

I don't hate that word, I actually like it.
Maybe your girlfriend doesn't want you thanking her for things you don't need to thank her for.

No she doesn't hate it ... she's just embarrassed and a little shy. She probably likes you a little and is trying to be tough about it ...

I like to be thanked. When someone thanks me it shows that they appreciate whatever it is that I did. I would be offended if I did something special and didn't get a thank you. Besides that, it's just good manners to say please and thank you.
