I do not want to use McAffee. It was already in my computer when I bought it, there is another Anti virus program that I am using that I like much better. I tried to delete Mcaffee by going in through the control panel and it says that I have to delete the program before I can remove it.
Can anyone give me any suggestions?

McAfee isn't hard to remove but your best bet is going to their website and connecting to their 24/7 online chat support, they will send you a link with instructions on how to completely remove it from your system. There is more to removing McAfee than just going to the Control Panel and removing it through Add/Remove Programs, much more for a "soft uninstall' that's fine but to fully and cleanly remove it you'll need to follow the instructions they give you. Remember it writes to the registry and there are several folders that contain McAfee files in them. Give it a try, it only takes a few minutes and It worked for me.

Have you tried going to Start/All Programs/McAffee then clicking on uninstall? Other wise go to Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs. Then find McAffee and Delete it.

Go to "Add or Remove programs" in the control panel to delete software. If this does not work, check for an item in your start menu under the McAfee group that says something along the lines of "Uninstall".

For a PC:

Click on START

Highlight CONTROL PANEL

Click on ADD or REMOVE PROGRAMS

When the window opens, find McCaffe and click on REMOVE. A Wizard will probably pop up to help you.
