Okay I am breast feeding my 9 month old. After I had her I didnt have my period for 4 months. Then after that I have had very regular periods. Now I am a couple days late. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it showed negative. I have had really bad cramping for about a week and half. I never cramp until the day of my period and it so bad that I always vomit. This would be if I am pregnant my 3rd so you would think I would know, but apparnetly I just a little stupid. So if you have any good advice please answer my question.

I would wait a few days and take another test. If you start to run a fever see your doctor. I know someone who thought they were having cramps but it was appendicitis. what do people have against having babies? some of us are married and responsible people.

You shouldn't have a period as long as you are breastfeeding (around the clock) Usually when you start to breastfeed less (feeding the baby w/ babyfood & such) then you start to have periods. Also, your uterus is still trying to get back to its before pregnate size...this feels like cramps. You can get pregnate while breast feeding even though your not having periods. I have 3 and breast fed all of them. My advice, use protection if your not ready to have #3, if your not planning on having anymore then see your Doc about getting your tubes tied. I was 35 when I had my last child and the Doctor still questioned me about if I was sure about getting tied. Hell yes, I'll be 53 when she graduates!!!

Birth control? You always need birth control of some sort if you're sexually active. The fact that you didnt have a period didnt mean you werent ovulating. Go to the doc and have a blood test. Its possible, although not normal, to have a false negative with pregnancy tests. A blood test will tell you with 100% accuracy if you're in fact pregnant.

Having a baby changes everybody's hormones, and you can never tell what's going to happen. If you're still having problems in a couple of days, or if it gets a lot worse or you get a fever, call your doctor.

sounds like PMS...its usually a little worse when breastfeeding...your body just needs to get back to normal.
