most places in the world require you to take two tests, sometimes you can just do one theory exam but you have to be able to actually ride and drive, one doesnt cover the other, just because you can drive a car doesnt automatically mean you can ride a bike (except for mopeds)

In Wisconsin you need an endorsement (additional license) to drive a motorcycle.
This is because different skills are required to drive a motorcycle than to drive a car.

Sure do. In Canada we have a basic car license with endorsements for motorcycle, school bus.

In Australia you get your bike licence as an endorsement on your drivers licence.
