A metrosexual is a male that plucks his eyebrows to make them look stylish (not just shaves the middle of the eyebrow to get rid of the unibrow look).
His hair requires daily shampoo, conditioner, 3 minute miracle from Aussie, Mousse, Gel, and Hair Spray to keep a stylish look. Always short in length with longish sideburns, usually sharp and long in look.
He employs facial peels and masks to keep his pores small. And applies moisturizer to keep his skin supple.
He may use eyeliner if he is bold enough. Still doesn't make him gay. Just metrosexual.
His clothes are always stylish and expensive. As are his shoes. All his paycheck is spent on clothes. To keep up with fashion. He may use blazer jackets, and never uses jeans-they aren't metrosexual. Slacks and Armani suits, if he can afford them.
He gets regular manicures and pedicures. Look carefully you may notice a subtle french manicure.
His body hair especially exposed areas, such as arms, is kept either short or non-existent.
A constant cloud of aroma, fragrance, is his aura. lol

I would describe a male metrosexual as one who "looks" gay because he gets his eyebrows waxed, gets manicures, dresses neat ... but preferrs women on a sexual level instead of other men

i don't know...well groomed, stylish and high maintenance! then again with the manis, pedis and hair obsession you could always use the ole' "girly man" stand by. i wouldn't say effeminate or anything like that because that isn't the case, generally speaking!
