Seriouly... everyone answering questions says "if someone said that about my mom i'd do the same" or "if someone called me a terrorist i'd hit them too" This is because everyone chooses random speculation that best suits their opinion of what justifies it. Just for the record, Materazzi lost his mom at 15 and stated that although he insulted zidane, mothers are sacred and he would never say something about anyone's mother. he also denied the terrorist allegation. these are things that "lip readers" came up with after reading the SAME lips... rumours lead to contraversy. No matter what, part of being a respectable player is to be able to deal with the BS that is said in the heat of the game... Zidane let it get the best of him. Not to mention, he's done it twice before.

Another Italian ploy !!! Christina's going to justify Materazzi's "mistake". Materazzi committed many more fouls during his short career. Cite it side by side if you're impartial.
Materazzi's lucky. By this time everybody would forget his name.
Now he would be remembered for quite some time as his name is tagged with great Zidane.

FORGER ITALIA !!!!!

I did notice. The fact remains though, Zinedine Zidane is not a child and reacting the way he did for whatever might have been said to him was unprofessional and wrong. It really doesn't matter what was said to him by Materazzi, he made a mistake and to this day he doesn't have any regrets. Beware if you ever say anything to piss him off.

Well I agree but, hey, in my language, all done by 'coraje', i'm just saying, Mazzeri thought he was some big shot "blasting away" at him like that, and well what happened? He got stuck.... Just deal with it people, Zidane is a great player and you guys are just taking the side of this punk *** kid. Now, can somebody post a question that doesn't deal with this?

Your exactly right, y would someone insult someone else's mom when they lost theirs when they were15! Plus its just French lies that he called him a terrorist, they just want everybody to be on Zidane's side. Finally your right Zidane does has a history!

muslims can not take an insult, they become enraged so easily? No matter what was said he reacted and cost his whole team. A great player would have ignored it, scored a goal, point to the scoreboard and smile.

Well Zizou didn't defend, even in the first interview after his final match on Sunday.
He simply said what had happened at that time .
He did apologize.
Hey, Can we discuss more about his wonderful, dance-like soccer skills rather than focusing on this tiny headbutt issue?
