Has anyone here ever broken a backboard? Any tips on how I would go about doing that?

You would have to be strong and pull it down. However I also saaw a college player do this. He pulled the rim down and that made the glass shatter.

Ppfft this is ridiculous. Its like asking how do you cut down a tree. Theres always the original idea of using a chainsaw. Same with the backboard you use a hammer.Well theres always more than 1 way. You can burn the tree and use an Axe and tie a rope to it and your truck get a bunch of beavers, I bet there are 101 ways to do this. Same with the backboard. Be creative hit it with your car a couple of times, burn it (plastic melts be careful) use an Axe and if all else fails I'm sure the beavers would be able to break it with a few whacks of their tail. Trow a rock at it. I mean how hard is it to break a backboard.

shaq once broke the backboard bak in orlando. well anywayz u have to have alot of strength and yuo have to hang on the rim for a while so u can break it.thats why shaq doesnt hang on the rim becuae he is afraid to break it.

i cracked one but the goal was like 30 years old!! u just have to hang on the rim alot get the glass week and just throw it down hard and yank
