Electrical Engineering related to space and astronomy with regards to satellites and telecommunications. Electrical Engineers deal with the electrical systems that are implemented on satellites, which make it work. These individuals obviously have college degrees in engineering, and work at big companies like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Hughes, etc.

Electrical Engineers develop all the electrical components involved in the space program and any astronomy program. Modern Telescopes use a device Called a CCD (Charge Coupled Device) It takes a digital picture and is used in most digital camera today. Electrical engineering also deals with all problems involving digital and analog circuitry in all the devices that we use.

Basically the are an integral support for Modern Astronomy and the Modern space program. Many Electrical Engineers have to work on every NASA mission and every research satellite. Chreck out NASA’s web page for some of the current missions.

In my case Electrical Engineering was the job I got after getting degrees in Astronomy and Physics.
