EDIT: Well thanks hop0409, I cleared the history and it worked perfectly, now I'm right clicking all over the place again :D And yea I know about the shell exts. I've been using WinRAR and Power Arch. 2006 and they add alot of extra menus, but I knew it wasn't that because I've been using them for over a year and a half with no problems. But clearing the history did it, I never thought of that becuse I don't use Internet Explorer at all but it worked! Thanks again hop0409 and the rest of you.

Sounds like something is installed into the shell (usually the extra options that appear in the menu if you right click). Time to uninstall programs with those shell extensions until one of them stops crashing your system

i'm not particular if it is what's necessary yet, D/load Tweakiu and set it up really elementary to do, cautioned with the help of Microsoft (yet do not enable that positioned you of) LOL Then look in the menu of Tweakiu and visit regulate concentration this can stop the second one window you open from stealing the first, for this reason you'll continually have an open window. wish this permits. good success.

It could be something called a context menu handler. Some programs put items in the rightclick menu and they screw up its behavior.

http://www.nirsoft.net

This program when installed allows you to view your shell extensions and lists, among other things, the context menu handlers and you can selectively disable them [and reenable them]. So get it and look for the handlers and disable them one at a time to find out if this is the problem and if so which one is causing it.

But it could be something else.

Try clearing your cache. Right click on the Explorer icon, go into properties, click "clear history" and "delete files". Worked for me.
