Have you ever eaten a taco ( 2 for a dollar) at Jack in the Crack! The "meat" is a total mystery. It's kind of like potted meat but mexican style I suppose.

Whatever they put in their tacos is definitely not Mexican style! I believe it's some kind of processed beef, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

My guess would be a little bit of very cheep hamburger and mostly textured vegetable protein (TVP) most fast food restaurants use this to 'stretch' their hamburger.

a friend of mine used to be a manager of one , she told me that it is about 50% beef by-product and 50%....anchovies!!!!
