I want to subscribe to a hip-hop magazine and am stuck on those two.

XXL is good but Vibe has more of an inside scoop of celebrity rumors and whats going on with them. I would definitely say vibe for sure

Depending on your prefernces, there is a magazine from England, Knowledge. It has a dance music perspective, and if that is not your speed, then it can be a little much, but each issue comes with a sampler CD by some really good DJs.
