It is your heart...not your mind. Love is a matter and an issue of the heart, of which there can be no doubt. If it's real love, you will know that it's love if you're willing to honestly LAY DOWN YOUR LIFE for that person. Would you "die" for that person whpm you claim to say that you love?? I believe that is the real test. And not to turn "religious" on you or anything like that...but the Bible teaches us that THAT is the way God Himself proved His love for the world, saying, "For God so LOVED the world, that He gave His only begotten Son (Christ is God, manifested in the flesh)...and He died on the Cross for you. That is how you know if someone truly loves you...are they ready to give their LIFE for you...or are you willing to DIE for him or her? If so, then that is genuine "love".

Our mind.
The heart thing is a misconception. What the heart actually does is pump blood through our body. It's not the part of us that feels love.

Both, but without the heart it really doesn't make sense..... you should feel it from inside. If it is warm in there when you think about him (said, "warm", not "hot" cause desire is hot... but it can also be quite deceiving) - so if it is also warm..... and you can imagine yourself with him even if he was old and sick, like for example in 75 years from now... then, yes..... that would be a sign that you truly LOVE.

love is unexplainable-
the only way you will find out is when you finally find LOVE! and even then it's hard to tell what makes you feel this way! lol
