"In space, no one can hear you scream."

In other words talk all you want but there's nothing to carry the soundwaves around as there is on earth.

If you had a helmet on, yes; otherwise, no.

Sound is vibrations in the air. There is no air, or any other gas, surrounding the moon. Very simply: no gas to vibrate, no sound.

Firefly, if you're familiar with the movie, was praised for not portraying sound in it's outer space scenes, because that is the reality. Unlike in Star Wars and Star Trek and their ilk, there is no sound whatsoever in outer space.

if you could survive the lack of oxigen, you could talk on the moon but do to the lack of an atmosphere and gravity the sound wave would move much like they would under water... so the answer is yes and very badly...

Absolutely not. There's no air on the moon to put in your lungs. If you took your space suit off, you'd die within minutes due to cosmic radiation.

You would be wearing a pressure suit, so you could talk. But no one could hear you unless there were a radio link.

Yes, because there is air in your space suit.

If there is not air in your space suit, you wouldn't be able to talk. Apparently this is because "there is no air to carry the sound" but I thought it was because "if there is no air, you can't breathe, and then you die, and dead people can't talk"
