an enthuusiast is one who gives weight to performance when making automotive purchuses and they might read car and driver or hot rod and they know the difference between Alignment and balance ,BUT A FANATIC is someone like me who when beaten by a WRX subaru immediatly drove home and yanked 302 ford from mustang and drove that day to the machine shop and contracted for a 347 stroker with HUGE cam and alum. heads (I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS MR. SUBARU I got yer medicine!)and stays online till all hours debating the merits or lack of same on MUSTANG web sites ALL NIGHT!

I don't think that is a good example of a fanatic, I think it is a good example of a redneck. Muscle cars are old school, low tech.
