wad i meant was 500metres for K1 men. Since there are no registered olympic records, wadz the fastest ever registered record in any event?

AFAIK there are no Olympic or World Records registered for Kayaking&Canoeing;in Rowing, they have World records but no Olympic records are acknowledged as such.
Moreover, 1500 m never appears as a distance in Olympic competition. It's either 500 or 1000 m. 10000 m was an Olympic distance until Tokyo 1964 (I think) but not since then.
I'm not practising the sport;I'm just a fan.
