I want to make something that i can find around the house (paper, glue, scissors, cardboard, etc.) Something that is sweet and telling her that she will be my best friend forever and so could you help me.

You have several options here... you can make a scrap book. You don't even have to use pictures, use construction paper and stuff to make what looks like the thing you want to remember (if you want to remember swinging in 3rd grade, make swings, etc). You could also make a tape... or CD... record some of the songs you two like, put a message on there (record your voice), and give that to her. Also, if you have any cheap picture frames, you can use the paper, odds and ends such as buttons and stuff, and glue them on the picture frame, and put a picture of the two of you in it. You could also give her envelopes with stamps on them so she can write you, or a phone card if you have the money. You could also make a memory book or a journal that you could send back and forth to one another.

homemade photo album, gather up some photos of yourself and her. make sure you have negatives or copy them on a color scanner, get like 5 sheets of either card stock paper or stationary or cardboard...then cut them in a reasonable size square or size it up with your photos..depending on the size punch out some holes on the paper-stock or whatever paper you chose...then add the photos to both sides after that is done....you personalize it with balloon comments for each photo if you have any earring or necklace that have beads or some of buttons to glue on the front cover.....then look around the house for either some pretty ribbon,colored shoelace,hair ribbons,string or any material like an old shirt..[clothing] cut it to size length ...go thru the punched holes to tie the photo book together with a pretty knot. there you just made something for your friend that is worth more than buying a gift at the store.

made from an altoid tin, or maybe a mini scrapbook with pictures of two of you doing stuff together with little sayings or favorite poems, quotes, lyrics on them. Maybe a mixed tape or CD with songs about friendship on it.
Make a t shirt for each of you with a picture on it (you can buy iron on transfer paper pretty cheaply).

I would get a little bit more space age with it. If it's possible scan lots of pictures of ya'll together & burn it onto a disk with a song playing like "I Will Remember You" or another really sweet song about moving on. It'll be sweet & bring tears to her eyes. (In a good way)

MAke her a really really fancy card telling her everything that makes her feel special to be ur best friend and that u will always keep in touch

Get a picture of you two. Make a frame for it with memory things on it of the stuff you did together and what she means to you.

make her a little box that she can keep her treasures in - the kind of box she could set out on her dresser
maybe you have a small box you can paint or decorate
maybe you can make one from cardboard
put something sentimental (like maybe a four leaf clover, or leaves from trees in your neighbourhood) in the box

make a homemade card with something cute on it, or you could draw, trace... two animals arm in arm on construction paper, cut it out, put friends forever on it
