there's a new boy in my youth group and i really like him but he's quiet and probably shy. the problem is, i'm shy too, and i want to befriend him, but i don't know the right words to start with, and how long it will take. i really want to be friends with him and i want to let him know that i know how it feels to be the new kid because i was one just 6 months ago when i moved here.
i have other things i want to let him know too but i can't describe them with words.
has anyone ever had experince with this kind of situation and knows how to start off?

hey, i have to same problem at my youthgroup!!! just talk to him like he already is one of your best friends..say hi to him when you see him...find out what he likes...introduce him to others in your youthgroup (that alway helps!) remember what it was like being new? what did one of your friends do to help you when you first came?...but first pray about it before you talk to him i know for sure that will help....God Bless<><

If you're both shy...I'm sure that can actually be a good thing...you can understand each other. If you don't want to go out of the way to explain your experience yet then start by just making sure that you include him in the activities. He'll notice that you're looking out for him and it will build a bond. I'm glad you're going to youth group! That was one of the best things about growing up for me!!! Good luck!

relax. Be your self. believe Jesus. each thing's superb. do not get over excited. Too many little ones get pulled into substituting romantic love for God's love, and it in no way, ever works. Be acquaintances. relax. And believe Jesus. you're doing superb. maximum acceptable desires to you.

just go right up and introduce yourself. Ask him how he likes this church and youth group. that should start a conversation

hell yea i have had just approach him friendly say hi hello whats your name hwere u used 2 go to and stufff. ask him questions like then then ask him like what ure interested in and be sure to talk to him everyday and ull be just fine. if u dun say s8mthin u will never befirend him so u have 2 speak up.
